Charlie’s wedding make up (12th April 2008) 

I had the privilege of being looked after by THE BEST on my wedding day- in fact there was no one else I would have trusted with the immense task of making me look presentable and more importantly making me feel confident on the biggest day of my life so far. 

Firstly, I do not wear make up on a day to day basis. Secondly I have extremely difficult skin; dry, sensitive, very prone to breakouts on an immense scale. Thirdly I blush very easily so the thought of being the centre of attention all day and having my photo taken made me a rather challenging customer for Christine.  

The first thing she does on the trials is Listen. She will not make you look like a clown; she will make you look like you (only a bit better!). She asks your opinion on what you want and gives logical, sensitive and sensible advice. The next thing is she uses the most amazing make-up I have ever encountered. It feels really light, as if you are not wearing anything on your face, and if it can cover up my many flaws it can work on anyone. Yet it looks very natural- not like you are wearing lots of layers to cover things up. I was amazed both on the trial days and on the wedding day itself that it looked as flawless and fresh at 10 O’clock  at night as it did at its application at 10 O’clock in the morning (even after a few teary moments). 

I had two make- up trials before the “Big Day”. Both trials reassured me that my spots would be covered and that I could feel confident in front of the camera. We tried different colours on my eyes and lips and we both agreed on the final combination. Christine is so thorough on these trials- not leaving anything to chance, and we checked each component after its application to make sure it was perfect. 

On the day itself, Christine was amazing. She had the challenge of making up 4 bridesmaids, one Mum and me, the Bride before midday. She was bubbly and jolly but calm all morning, even on my red-faced and teary return from the hairdressers (when the nerves had kicked in), and at the very end of the morning, working with an ever-growing audience including the photographer who was waiting to get started!  

We all had our hair done by Nigel and his team at “Hair by John”. Christine and Nigel got everyone ready with military precision- and what a fantastic team they make- the timings were perfect, yet none of us felt rushed. All four girls and my Mum looked amazing, and they were all so pleased with the outcome, and had such a good time while their hair and make up were being done. As for me, I felt more than a million dollars. I was confident in how I looked and I felt really pretty.  

The real confirmation that Christine and Nigel got my make up and hair absolutely spot-on came when I walked down that aisle, and Kev turned to look at me. I cannot describe the look on his face but it certainly told me he was happy with his Bride, and he simply said “Wow. You look Stunning”. 

I look through our wedding photos, not cringing as I usually do and pointing out things that I dislike about my appearance in those photos, but smiling and actually proud of what I am seeing. My bridesmaids all look stunning and they all adore the photos as well.  

I would highly recommend Christine and Nigel’s expertise to any Bride-to-Be- you will be delighted with the result, feel and look beautiful, and just like I did, truly have the best day of your life.

Lucy's Wedding Make Up

I was looking to have my make-up done for my wedding and didn’t have any idea on where to start. Christine was recommended to me by her daughter in-law who also had Christine do her make-up for her wedding. It wasn’t until I met Christine that I realised I had come across a real star. 

Christine instantly made me feel like I had known her for years. She is warm, calming and confident in her work. I felt that what ever I wanted and needed to make me look special for my wedding, Christine would deliver and more. 

Christine is a true professional. Not only is she qualified in make-up, she is also qualified in many other areas ie: Reflexology, Manicures, Pedicures (just to name a few). She is brilliant in giving advice and handy hints.  

I would recommend Christine to anyone who needed their make-up doing for a special occasion or just needed to give themselves a little TLC. Christine makes you feel so relaxed you’ll end up falling asleep through your treatment! 

Thank you very much Christine for making me look perfect on my wedding day. You have given me many special memories to treasure. I am so glad to of had you as apart of my bridal party. You are a true asset to your profession.
