Christine Spicer (Chris)
Beauty & Holistic Therapist, BABTAC, IIHHT
I began my career as a hairdresser, with my life taking the ‘normal’ route of marriage and children. After many happy years of being at home with my twins I retrained and returned to work undertaking a variety of office work.
Then unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, 9 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Initially, my world fell apart but the whole experience made me stand back and re-evaluate my life and reflect on what was important to me. One of my dreams had always been to work in beauty therapy and I made what was to be a life changing decision, and returned to college full time to gain my qualifications in beauty and holistic therapy.
After two years of study I gained my Diploma in Beauty Therapy and a Diploma in Holistic Therapies, which includes Anatomy & Physiology, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Swedish Massage, Indian Head Massage, Nutrition, Counselling, Professional Business Studies and First Aid.
I left college and began working at Well Being in Andover. However, I soon realised that the challenge I was ultimately looking for was working for myself, which I now do. I offer a vast range of beauty treatments from facials, waxing, pedicures to aromatherapy treatments, Indian Head massage, Reflexology and many more.
I have continued my professional development by attending several courses since leaving college, as being self-employed it is essential to keep up-to-date. I have a thirst for more knowledge and enjoy researching new and current treatments, and developments within the industry.
I have an avid interest in holistic therapy, which is the treatment of the mind, body and soul. If you would like to find out more about Holistics then please click on this link. Otherwise I look forward to hearing from you, whether it is more information you would like or to book a treatment.
